Mirvac/HPA were approached by IGC to investigate a joint venture high end residential development to utilise spare golf course land.
As the design component of the New Business and Acquisitions team at Mirvac, Ken and David were tasked with working with the Mirvac team and the IGC President and Committee members to Master Plan a staged development to meet the requirements of Council and expectations of potential purchasers.
A detailed study of the whole peninsula was undertaken, and the best most suitable locations were identified.
These locations considered the existing course layout, overland flow, views, existing vegetation, vehicle access and potential building heights on the landscape.
The resulting Master Plan yielded 15 building locations and included regeneration of the two public parks, riverbank stabilisation, upgrade of the entry drive and boat ramps.
The scheme also improved the natural environment with the capture and treatment of waste water and removal of and replacement of all non-native plant species.
